Therapy & Counseling Services

A steady place to slow down, understand what’s happening, and find your way forward.

Most of the people I work with are not in crisis.

They are capable, thoughtful, and used to managing their lives well.

But something feels different — and they’re ready to take that seriously.

HIGH-FUNCTIONING WOMEN IN MIDLIFE

For women whose lives look fine from the outside — but feel heavier, flatter, or more uncertain than expected.

This can include:

• Feeling exhausted from holding everything together

• A sense of disconnection from yourself or your life

• Quiet anxiety, low mood, or emotional fatigue

• Questions about identity, purpose, or what comes next

Midlife can bring a convergence of pressures — career demands, shifting relationships, family responsibilities, and internal expectations.

LIFE TRANSITIONS & IDENTITY SHIFTS

For people navigating periods of life change that feel more complex than they expected — like:

  • Children leaving home - empty nest

  • Changes in relationships, friendships

  • Divorce, becoming widowed

  • Career changes or plateaus

  • Health problems

  • Changing role with aging parents

These experiences can result in feelings of anxiety, depression and deeper questions about identity, purpose, and direction.

HIGH-ACHIEVING PROFESSIONALS

For individuals who are used to performing, producing, and staying in control — but are starting to feel overwhelmed, depleted, burnt out or getting close.

You may be:

• Carrying significant responsibility at work or in leadership roles

• Managing stress that doesn’t fully turn off

• Feeling pressure to maintain a certain level of performance

• Struggling to slow down, even when you know you need to

My Approach

My approach is relational, insight-oriented, and steady.

We focus not only on what’s happening now, but on the patterns and experiences that shaped how things feel today.

This process is neither a quick fix nor does it have to take many years of therapy.

Instead, it is a thoughtful process to help you understand yourself better and find a more grounded, positive way forward.

In-Person and Online

I offer in-person therapy in historic Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, and via secure telehealth sessions for adults across Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC.

INCLUSIVITITY

While I have a special focus working with women in midlife, I welcome adults of any age or gender who are drawn to reflective, insight-oriented work.

If you’re considering therapy, a brief 15-minute consultation call is an easy place to start.

We can talk through what’s been going on and see whether working together would feel like a good fit.
